Not their Best
I LOVE LOVE LOVE BRIT FLOYD, I have seen them about 16 Times - All over the Country: LA, Riverside, Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Pennsylvania, and Red Rocks several times. Every single Show has been Stellar - Down to the Last Detail. Unfortunately - This show lacked Energy, and there seemed to be a missing connection with the audience. . First - The Volume was way too low - it often lacked the punch it needed. Second, some song openings were flat - like the beginning of Echoes - when you would expect to hear that first Hammond Organ, PING! and the subsequent PINGS!! - they just weren't there. Third, although the song selections were Great - because of the volume and missing details, the sequence of songs did not flow as well as past shows - plus it was good when past shows introduced the year of the next song - this gave the audience some of that connectivity that was missing Saturday night. Lastly - Not one song from Animals...All of the past shows had either, Dogs, Pigs (Three Different Ones), or Sheep - this left a gap in my mind. Overall, they were Great - and I was thrilled with Edo Scordo singing lead on Poles Apart and One Slip - Man! He sounded just like David Gilmour!! As much as I love Damian Darlington, I hope they allow Edo to sing more Gilmour parts. I still Love Brit Floyd and will see them every year!!!!
